Amphibian Ark Service-learning Grant

Students will vote on a reusable item to sell as a fundraiser for Amphibian Ark. They will then plan, design, advertise, and sell the item.

Animals Have A Voice Service-learning Grant

This project is about animal needs, animal family structure, and animal communication. How can students develop empathy for animals? Students will research an animal, build a model with WeDo Robotics, program the animal model to "speak" (real voice and then student recorded report in "first" person using an iPod). Field trip to gather first hand research and interview animal care workers. Fundraiser will include "Adopt An Animal" and sale of DVD's (nominal price) that include active model, animal research, zoo footage, Tremont student interaction footage of discussion and including fellow Tremont students to interact and program models.
